Power Boat Courses

All RYA courses are delivered by Keep Sailing Wraysbury. Keep Sailing Wraysbury is a standalone RYA Recognised Training Centre, based at Silver Wing Sailing Club.

Powerboat Level 2

             Spend 2 days on the water learning how to drive a powerboat safely. We’ll take you right back to the start! Having never been in a boat before, by the end of the course, you will feel confident to take control of a small powerboat.

No experience necessary! (You don’t need RYA Powerboat Level 1!)

Whether you’re looking to become a water sports instructor, want to rent a boat abroad, or want to feel more useful when you’re onboard a friend’s boat. This is the perfect introductory course for you.

  • Launching and recovery
  • Basic boat handling
  • Securing to a buoy
  • Leaving and coming alongside a pontoon
  • Man Over Board Recovery.

Safety Boat Course

Assumed Knowledge: None

Minimum Age: 16

Course Duration: 2 Days (usually over 1 weekend)

Course Content: This two-day course provides the skills required when acting as a safety boat for a fleet of dinghies, windsurfers or canoes, or for racing or training activities.  It includes rescue techniques, Preparation, boat handling, dinghy & windsurf rescue, kayak or canoe rescue, towing and end-of-day procedures.
